The holiday cheer did not end so soon for Jessi and TK Kelly. Just a few days after celebrating Christmas, they had a lovely, intimate wedding in a historic estate in Waco, Texas. They incorporated the sparkle of the holiday season in their theme by adding in bits of glitter in the design. They also chose a metallic palette which goes well with the coolness of the season. I personally love the tiny crystals on the table settings that made it feel almost like having dinner in a winter palace. How’s that for elegant? And to add to that, the bride looked absolutely regal in her bridal portraits. The cut and style of her gown were modest, but hugged her in all the right places and made her look like a true winter princess.
What is the overall story for this album?
Jessi and TK had an intimate, family wedding in Waco, Texas at the Historic Clifton House on Austin Avenue, a gorgeous venue which has been maintained by the Junior League of Waco. Jessi and TK picked a color palette of mixed metals, which was perfect for being just a few days after Christmas. There was still a Christmas feeling in the gathering, and the greenery and decorations reflected the hint of the holidays. Everything about Jessi’s colors, decor, and venues were classic beauty with the charm of antique luxury, including the location for her bridal portraits, Baylor University’s Armstrong Browning Library.
What inspired the wedding day outfits?
Jessi bought her gown in Houston, and it set the tone for an ivory palette with classic style.
What was your favorite part of the day?
The best part of the day was watching the bride and groom relax and celebrate with family and friends after the ceremony.
Was there any Do it Yourself (DIY) projects? If so, can you describe them in detail?
Chair decorations were a DIY project, including metallic Christmas ornaments and tulle bows.
What were the highlights from the ceremony & reception?
Jessi came down the huge staircase to a string quartet, and the ceremony was short and sweet. After signing the marriage license and a few photos, we headed down the street a few blocks to the Brazos Ballroom over the Brazos River. Everyone ate and danced until the limousine arrived to take the couple to Dallas for the start of their honeymoon in Mexico.
Was there a theme for the ceremony and reception?
Winter holiday and mixed metals.
What part of the ceremonies do you think was the most memorable for the bride and groom?
The officiant not remembering the groom’s name correctly and pronouncing it differently every time was memorable. Considering his name is “TK” makes it even better.
